GAZ 3101 Volga (1973)


Experimental option of updating of “Volga”. Designer N.I.Kireev offered restyling of a let-out body – with emphasis on new forward optics and abundance of the chromeplated details. Quite considerable changes also were made to an interior: appeared the new dashboard (stylistically reminding panel of the future serial GAZ 3102), lobbies and back seats with the integrated head restraints, door cards of original design. The single copy GAS 3101 is equipped with the ZMZ 53 115-strong engine (V8, 4,25 l). Four-unit (instead of two-place) the index was appropriated to the car according to a branch normal of 1966. One and a half decades GAZ were possible to bypass its instructions and to give to the main models own simple indexes.
